UK - The £26bn (€38.5bn) Universities Superannuation Scheme, the pension fund for university staff, is looking to hire two responsible investment staff as a result of "re-organisation and expansion".

The London-based jobs are analyst and project coordinator, USS Ltd., the corporate trustee of the fund, said in a notice in the Financial Times.

"As a fund with a commitment to long-term and responsible investment, the company's approach and strategy is based on active engagement with the companies and assets in which the fund invests," it said.

"This involves dialogue about corporate governance, environmental standards and other extra-financial factors."

The analyst will provide in-depth RI analysis for portfolio manages and monitor the USS portfolio on RI issues. The project coordinator will provide "high level project, research and administrative support".

Both roles attract a "comprehensive remuneration and benefits package".

Raj Thamotheram, USS's senior adviser for responsible investment, announced in April this year that he would join AXA Investment Managers as director of responsible investment on June 1.
