GLOBAL - Mercer, Union Bancaire Privée, State Street Global Advisors, Olivetree Securities, Towers Watson

Mercer - Roslin Wright has rejoined the consultancy as a principal and client relationship manager in its outsourcing business based in Glasgow. Prior to rejoining Mercer, she was client development director at Aon Consulting. Before then, she served as UK outsourcing sales leader at Mercer. Wright has more than 20 years of experience in pension administration, including senior positions in client management and business development.

Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) - Yves Stein, former director general at BNP Paribas Suisse, has joined UBP to lead its banking activities in Luxembourg. Before he managed BNP Paribas Suisse's wealth management division, Stein was chief executive of private banking at Fortis Group. UBP said Stein's appointment would strengthen its representation in Luxembourg, the "ideal platform" from which to expand its private banking and asset management activities in Europe.
 
State Street Global Advisors (SSgA) - The investment management group has made two appointments to its fixed income and equity investment teams. Kevin Anderson, previously SSgA's global head of fixed income beta solutions, has joined as global chief investment officer for fixed income and currency. Marc Reinganum will expand his responsibilities as head of international active developed markets equities to include the US active equity team and the Canada developed markets team.

Olivetree Securities - Ian Brenner has joined the equities intermediary brokerage firm's distribution group, taking a senior role in covering institutional and hedge fund accounts. He joins Olivetree from MF Global, a cash and derivatives broker, where he spent seven years, most recently as deputy head of European equities. Before then, he spent 16 years at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, most recently as global head of sales trading.

Towers Watson - The consultancy has made three appointments - John Weedon, Dan Bailey and David Tuttlebee - to its UK reinsurance team. Weedon, who has spent the last 10 years with Walsham Brothers, joins as joint managing director of the UK reinsurance team, while Bailey is an expert in ILW business and joins as a senior broker. Tuttlebee has spent almost 30 years in the London market, specialising in non-marine property reinsurance.
