GLOBAL- William M Mercer has announced that henceforth it will trade under the new name of Mercer Human Resource Consulting. Its investment consulting practice is also being re-named Mercer Investment Consulting.

Mercers says introducing the human resource tag is meant to be a fairer reflection of the range of services it offers. Over the last decade it has built up the retirement and employee benefit consulting aspect of the business.

“The name Mercer Human resource Consulting encompasses the full range of resources that we can bring to bear on behalf of our clients,” says David Barford, UK chairman and chief executive.

“Mercer’s strong growth in human resource consulting reflects the increasing recognition that, by investing in their people, organisations can improve performance and profitability,” he says.

The company’s old website, www.wmmercer.com, is being replaced by www.mercerHR.com and the newly-named investment practice has a new domain, www.mercerIC.com.
