US/UK – Northern Trust Global Advisors, the groups’ multi-manager affiliate, has appointed Margaret Towle as chief investment officer (CIO) and Bill Huffman as chief operating officer (CEO), with both to be based in the US.

Towle most recently served as CIO at Puget Sound Asset Management, which she founded.
She specialised in the provision of non-traditional investments and was responsible for overall investment strategy, portfolio management and sub-advisor selection.

Huffman was previously director of quantitative product management at Northern Trust Global Investments in Chicago.
