UK - Oxfordshire County Council is reviewing Abn Amro Mellon Global Securities Services as its pension fund custodian, according to a tender notice just issued.

Details of the mandate are slim, but the £1.08bn (€1.49bn) scheme is assessing, with the assistance of its consultant Hymans Robertson, whether a new custodian would be more appropriate to its needs.

The five-year contract should see a firm appointed "to provide safekeeping and other services to the assets of Oxfordshire County Council pension fund".

Tenders must be submitted to the council by January 25, 2008.

Officials at both the pension fund and Hymans Robertson were unavailable for comment at the time of publication.
