ITALY - PensPlan, the pension services provider of the semi-autonomous Trentino Alto Adige region in northern Italy, today has announced the launch of six so-called info points, planned since last year.

Together with pension consultant SGBCISL, PensPlan aims to provide an easy access to information about its pension offerings to the citizens in Bozen, Brixen, Bruneck, Mals, Meran and Neumarkt.

Michael Atzwanger, managing director of the South Tyrol-based €500m open pension fund, told IPE last year the new info points would be a vital contributor to the individual pension knowledge in the region.

Together with the six new centres, there are now a total of 42 pension information points that have been launched since the autumn of 2006.

"The PensPlan info points - of which there are already 42 - are a local point of reference where citizens can inform themselves about supplementary pensions and their personal pension situation," said Martha Stocker, regional head for supplementary pensions.

The centres aim to give 30-minute personal pension analysis to individuals.

According to Stocker, the regions will finance the info points themselves.
