UK – Mercer Human Resource Consulting has been appointed by petroleum company, Perenco UK, to provide services for its new pension arrangements.
Mercer will design and establish a new pension scheme for Perenco that provides defined benefit and defined contribution sections. All employees will have access to the new defined benefit solution, and new employees will join the defined contribution section of the scheme. Perenco has approximately 140 new employees joining, following the acquisition of British Petroleum’s interests in 14 gas fields in the southern North Sea.
Mercer will also be working alongside Perenco’s management to host presentations about the pensions arrangements. Sister company, Marsh, will be delivering the presentations to employees both on the platforms and at onshore locations.
Elsewhere at Mercer Human Resource Consulting, Elizabeth Renshaw-Ames has been appointed as European partner. She will be based in London and will focus on working with major clients on governance and pensions risk management issues.
She previously worked as director in the pensions practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she spent several periods working on overseas assignments.
