GERMANY - Pioneer Investments is bolstering its international business with four new appointments to its German sales division.

Tobias Milkowski and Ralph Kunz have joined Pioneer Investments’ broker sales team as sales managers. Milkowski is responsible for sales and distribution in southern Germany and joins Pioneer Investments from UBS.

Ralph Kunz is responsible for supporting distribution partners in northern and western Germany and joins from Veritas SG.

Pioneer Investments has also strengthened its German financial institutions team with the appointments of Anja Schmitt and Ulrich Plank as sales managers.

Schmitt is responsible for institutional sales and distribution of all Pioneer Investments’ funds via Germany’s biggest bank networks, and was previously employed at Activest and at Hypovereinsbank.

Plank is responsible for private banks and financial advisers in Germany and joins from the investment division of Dresdner Bank.

Last week, Pioneer Investments boosted its French team with the appointment of Astrid Lubin to the new position of head of institutional clients for France. Within the last year, Pioneer has also opened an investment unit in Singapore, and an office in Hong Kong.

Says Matteo Dante Perruccio, executice director and head of international sales and distribution: “the market downturn has had far reaching consequences for the entire asset management industry and no company is immune from its effects. However, we firmly believe that now is the time to invest in talented people and build our franchise.”
