IRELAND – Pioneer Investments has appointed Neil Robson as new head of global equities in Dublin.

Robson joins from Baring Asset Management where he was global sector strategist/head of global equities. Prior to the role he was a European fund manager at both Barings and Citigroup.

In the newly-created role, Robson will oversee the global equity team, reporting into Stan Pearson, head of equities.

Commenting on the appointment, Pearson said: “It is an important and added dimension to our process that we have a team which analyses equities on a global sectoral basis, rather than just country specific perspectives.”

The global equities team manages equity portfolio invested in globally-based companies. The team is based in both the Dublin and Boston offices managing a total 12 mutual funds and one institutional account. The Dublin team manages two billion euros in assets.

Pioneer Investments has over 110 billion euros of assets under management worldwide.
