UK – Actuarial consultancy Punter Southall & Co. has named John Batting as chief executive and Elizabeth Battams as managing director.
Batting will head strategy while Battams will be responsible for business operations and managing resources. Both will continue to work with clients. They are among 29 principals at the firm, which was founded in 1988 and is now part of South Africa-based Sanlam.
“Both John and Elizabeth are well respected by our clients and staff and we look forward to working with them to define the future growth of the business,” said chairman Stuart Southall.
“Both these key appointments reflect the continuing growth and strategic vision of Punter Southall and our continuing determination to grow the business.”
Co-founders Stuart Southall and Jonathan Punter remain chairman and principal respectively, with Punter staying chief executive of holding company Sanlam Financial Services, a spokesman said.
