UK – A professor in insurance and risk management is to give the annual Watson Wyatt lecture on managing corporate risk in London in March.
The consultancy firm says it is to sponsor a lecture by Neil Doherty at the Cass Business School, City University, on March 11. Doherty is professor of insurance and risk management at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
“I'm delighted that Neil Doherty has agreed to give this year's Watson Wyatt Lecture," said Watson Wyatt’s head of research Mike Orszag. "Helping clients to understand the sources of risk and uncertainty to their business and how they can be managed is at the heart of the Watson Wyatt's consulting activities.”
Doherty is a former economic adviser to the UK government economic service and is the editor of the Geneva Papers on Risk Insurance Theory. His research areas are insurance pricing, optimal insurance, financial intermediaries, asset/liability management for insurers, insurance economics and risk management.
