Robeco names consultant relations head
NETHERLANDS – Robeco Asset Management, hit by a “disappointing” asset inflow in the first half, has hired a head of consultant relations.
Fernand Schürmann has joined from Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch in Amsterdam.
“It will be his specific responsibility to further build on the existing relationship between Robeco and investment consultants on a European level,” Robeco said
“For Robeco, this is considered to be crucial in servicing pension funds and other institutional investors across the region.”
In September Robeco, a part of Rabobank, said its assets under management was hit by US outflows.
“The inflow of new assets was disappointing, with just a small net inflow achieved,” the bank said in its first-half earnings report. “The US activities of Robeco in particular reported a relatively large outflow of assets following the departure of an investment team.”
Last month Robeco named De Nederlandsche Bank’s Lex Hoogduin to succeed Jaap van Duijn as chief economist.
