NETHERLANDS – Robeco has named Ger Goris as head of sales and distribution, a new role.

The 55-year-old Goris will take up a permanent position as head of sales and distribution at the asset management arm of Rabobank as of March 1. He has been in the role on an interim basis since October last year.

Robeco spokesman Ronald Florisson said the role was pan-European. Goris is part of the Robeco Asset Management Europe management team.

He was previously was general director of NIB Financial Markets in Amsterdam and a member of the main board of ABN Amro Bank Deutschland. Before this he was at Merrill Lynch for 13 years.

Last week Rotterdam-based Robeco announced that it would start actively exercising its voting rights at shareholder meetings this year – and that saw an almost nine percent rise in assets under management.
