SWEDEN - Schroder Investment Management has bolstered its Nordic sales team with the appointment of Viggo Johansen as sales manager for Sweden and Finland.
Johansen will be responsible for managing and developing Schroder’s institutional and retail business in Sweden and Finland, and will be based in Stockholm with two other professionals.
Prior to joining Schroder IM, Johansen worked at Westdeutsche Landesbank also in Stockholm, where he was a senior sales adviser for Sweden and Norway.
Johansen reports to Johan Hamilton, country head of Sweden and Finland.
Says Johansen: "clients from Sweden and Finland invest around e2.8bn into Schroders’ funds. It is important that there is a local service for them."
The appointment of Johansen also marks the recent growth seen by Schroder IM in those countries. Says Hamilton: "the markets in both Sweden and Finland are evolving as investors seek the best returns for their assets."
