UK/US – Schroder Ventures International Investment Trust (SVIIT) has added Marc Bonavitacola, former chief investment officer for the city of Philadelphia’s five billion dollar public employees retirement system, to its US operations.

Bonavitacola will work in Boston, alongside managing director Solomon Owayda. The two work closely with Guy Eastman in London, in advising fund of funds and third parties on private equity selection.

In between his role at the Philadelphia pension fund and joining Schroder Ventures, Bonavitacola worked at Hamilton Lane, a private equity investments services provider, as managing director and principal. There he was an investment committee member, and a portfolio manager responsible for the analysis, construction and management of private equity portfolios for clients around the world.
