SWEDEN - Harry Klagsbrun has been named as the new executive vice president of Swedish financial services group SEB and head of SEB Invest, its investment management arm.

Klagsbrun also becomes a member of SEB's group executive committee.

A former president and CEO of Alfred Berg between 1996 and 2000, Klagsbrun was responsible for the development of the firm’s asset management business in Sweden and the Nordic region.

In a parallel development, SEB Invest also becomes a separate division within the group, employing approximately 520 professionals in Sweden, Denmark, Finland and the US, as well as at SEB's branch offices in London and Oslo.
It’s operations comprise management and sales of mutual funds, as well as institutional management.

Klagsbrun assumes his new position on October 15.
