EUROPE - US multi-manager firm SEI Investments has added Invesco to the line-up in its European manager-of-manager product.
The company was chosen to complement the existing managers with an aggressive growth brief.

“Invesco manages aggressive, growth-oriented portfolios in Europe. The portfolios typically have 60-80 stocks in them, and are focused on the most attractive growth companies in Europe,” says Greg Stahl, director of UK and European investments at SEI.

“This tends to lead them to a mid-cap orientation, where the fastest growth occurs in the early life cycle of the company’s life where there is some evidence of value creation. The majority of the portfolio will be invested in companies at an early stage in this lifecycle and risk control will be maintained through investments in some resurgent and mature companies,” he adds.

There are currently three managers in SEI’s existing equity manager roster: Acadian Asset Management and Capital International both have European value briefs, while Blackrock International has a European Growth mandate.

The European equity team of Invesco manages around £7.8bn of total assets, including both retail and institutional funds, but excluding UK assets.
