** SEI BRINGS ALLER OVER FROM THE US **
SEI Investments has appointed Robert Aller as its managing director for European financial institutions.
Aller moves to London from SEI’s head office in Oaks, Pennsylvania, and will be responsible for the technology and investment needs of European-based financial services firms and other institutions focused on the European private client market.
He will also work closely with Patricia Lewers, who recently relocated to SEI’s London and is responsible for product development in the UK/European high net worth investor markets.
Prior to joining SEI Investments, Bob spent five years with Procter and Gamble.

** STATE STREET APPOINTS PIDGEON **
State street Global Advisors (SSgA), the investment management arm of State Street Corporation, has appointed Nick Pidgeon as investment manager for cash management. Nick, who will report to Michael Karkpik, head of international gash, joins a global team of cash managers and will have shared responsibility for the management of all cash and securities lending investment funds in London.
Nick joins SSgA from Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM) where he spent 13 years. Prior to this he was assistant vice president, managing MLIM s institutional liquidity money market funds and heading up a team of three money markets trades responsible for over $6 billion of assets.

** JEFFERIES EXPANDS PARIS EQUITIES OPERATION WITH THREE HIRES **
Jefferies International Limited has hired two sales professionals and one analyst to join the Paris operation of its European equity research and sales subsidiary, The Europe Company.
Ian McLeod joins as a senior telecoms analyst, covering French telecom and telecom-related stocks. Previously McLeod was head of telecoms research for Julius Baer in Paris, and from 1989-99 worked for Natwest Markets in London as European telecoms analyst.
James Hepworth joins from ABN Amro as a senior salesperson who will focus on French equity sales to non-French institutions. Previously Hepworth worked for Natwest from 1991-97.
Kerry Gluck also joins from ABN Amro as an equity sales trader. Gluck returns to the Europe Company, having previously been an employee from 1996-99, prior to which she was at Instinet France.

**Bauer appoints new Asia Pacific managing director**
UK – London based European international investment banking and institutional brokerage firm, the Bauer Partnership, has appointed Hugo De Stoop as managing director, Asia-Pacific.
Stoop will be based on Hong Kong and joins from Incofin Inc, where he was a partner.

**Bank of America appoints new global treasury head**
UK – Frank Abraham has been appointed by Bank of America (BOA) in London as head of global treasury services for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Abraham has been with BOA for 29 years and worked most recently as executive vice president and manager of its global trade services division.

**Cybulski takes over as chairman at Almeida**
UK – Private equity research and advisory firm, Almeida Capital, has named Mitch Cybulski as its new chairman. He joins the board as a non-executive director.
Cybulski was previously chairman of SmithKline Beecham International, responsible for consumer operations outside the US and Europe.

**io appoints new marketing and sales head**
UK – Property asset management company, io Group, has appointed Rory Finnan as head of marketing, sales and lettings for io centres.
Finnan previously worked as an asset manager within io, with responsibility for Scotland, the South West, the North East and Yorkshire.
The group has also appointed James Allen as a surveyor to its acquisitions team, concentrating on investment acquisitions. Allen joins from Frogmore Estates, where he worked for over five years in the asset management department.
