FRANCE - SEI Investments has appointed Damian Harris as new head of asset management in France after Jean-Yves Foucat left the company to become an independent consultant.

Harris, 33, who took up the job at SEI Investments (France) SA in Paris two weeks ago, is responsible for drawing up multi-management solutions for institutional investors and distributors in France, Europe, the Middle East and Latin America.

“With all the resources of SEI at his disposal, he has been assigned the task of adapting the group’s investment process to its various clients with a view to providing customised asset management solutions that meet their needs,” SEI said.

“As a strategist, he will also be actively involved in the company’s research activities”, the company also said.

Harris joined SEI Investments in 1998 as a senior international equities analyst. He was responsible for analysing and selecting fund managers, as well as constructing and managing SEI portfolios in Emerging Markets and the Pacific Basin.

Before working for SEI, he worked for the General Management of the Argentina’s Blaisten SA, where he was in charge of cash optimisation and management.

He has also been a Latin American Bond Analyst at Banco de Galicia.

SEI said that at the end of March it had over $272 billion (€221.4 billion) in mutual fund and pooled assets under administration and managed over $96 billion in assets.
