US – SEI Investments has named Karl Dasher as chief investment officer. He takes over from Ed Loughlin, who remains president of SEI Asset Management.

Dasher will head up SEI's investment management unit in the US, UK, Canada, France and Hong Kong. He will also oversee the investment process. He has been at SEI for 10 years and was previously managing director of SEI's continental European business.

The firm also named Greg Stahl as chief investment strategist. Stahl will also continue head its London-based investment management unit.

“As a company we are constantly developing our business to meet the needs of our clients and we believe that Karl as CIO will help us to satisfy the unique requirements of our global markets,” said Joe Ujobai, head of SEI's global business.

“Both Karl and Greg have considerable experience of global investment, gained in a variety of roles and locations and a unique understanding of SEI and our clients which will be invaluable in their new positions."

Earlier this week SEI named Frank Sidoti as its new head of mutual fund operations. It said he was previously at State Street Bank for 15 years, most recently as senior vice president and senior business department head.

SEI manages more than 90 billion dollars in assets.
