Singer & Friedlander scoops European equity briefs

UK – Singer & Friedlander Investment Management (SFIM) has picked up a recent tally of five continental European large cap equity mandates worth a total of around £45m (e71m) to boost total assets under management in the group’s institutional division to £1.4bn.

The names of the UK pension funds have not been disclosed but all five appointed SFIM after using consultant Stamford Associates.

Three of the mandates have charged head of continental European equities at SFIM, Nick Williams, with investing a total of £40m (e63m) in segregated funds.
The other two are investing a total of £5m in SFIM’s Continental European Trust, a pooled vehicle for investing in European equities.

Performance for the segregated funds will be benchmarked against the FTSE World Europe ex UK Total Return index, against which the pooled fund is also measured.
