EUROPE – Simona Gambini, European marketing director at index firm Stoxx, has left and been replaced by Isa Krupka.

“Simona Gambini has left us and was replaced by Isa Krupka,” said a Stoxx spokeswoman. Krupka was previously responsible for marketing efforts of Dow Jones Indexes in Europe and joined the company in 2001.

Gambini’s departure is the latest management upheaval at the firm, a joint venture between Dow Jones, Deutsche Boerse and the SWX Swiss Exchange. The company has had four managing directors in less than two years.

In March the group named Dow Jones’ Lars Hamich, 35, as its new managing director. He took over from Elizabeth von Werra and became the fourth holder of the job since the end of 2002.

Hamich’s appointment followed the departure of Scott Stark on December 31 2002 – who was replaced on an interim basis by SWX Swiss Exchange’s Ettore Candolfi.
