UK - The City & County of Swansea Council is seeking one or more independent investment advisors for the £790m (€1.2bn) Swansea Pension Fund.

The scheme, part of the Local Government Pension Scheme, provides pension benefits for employees of the council in south Wales as well as to 20 scheduled or admitted bodies, the fund said.

"You will be either an individual or organisation with the ability to demonstrate previous experience as an investment advisor for public sector or institutional funds," it said in a notice in the Financial Times.

The successful applicant will have to attend quarterly investment panel meetings and assist in the development of investment policy and asset allocation.

They will also monitor investment managers' performance and assist in manager selection as well as support corporate governance.

The closing date for applications is October 9, with interviews and appointments being made in November.
