SWEDEN – Andra AP-fonden, the second Swedish national pension fund, has hired Nordea Investment Management’s Poul Albaek Winslöw as its new head of equities.

The fund said in a statement that he joins from Nordea IM where he was head of strategic research/tactical asset allocation. He will take up his new role in the autumn.

Albaek Winslöw takes over from chief investment officer Petter Odhnoff, who has been the acting head of equities since the departure of Evert Carlsson in November last year.

AP2 holds around 25 billion Swedish crowns (2.7 billion euros) in domestic equities and an international equities portfolio worth over 50 billion crowns. Just over 55% of the share portfolio is under external management.

“We are convinced that Poul will make a considerable contribution to the continued development of the fund,” said Odhnoff. “This will naturally apply first and foremost to the equities side, but to other units too, where his broad experience can provide us all with new input and fresh ideas.”
