GERMANY/SWITZERLAND – Swiss alternative asset manager Partners Group and German private asset manager and financial service provider Sauerborn Trust AG (formerly FERI Family Office AG) have launched a joint venture in Switzerland aimed at high net worth individuals.

The new subsidiary will be called Sauerborn Trust AG (Suisse). FERI Family Office, a financial services provider and asset manager to high net worth individuals, which today announced its name change to Sauerborn Trust Germany, will have a 70% stake in the new firm. Partners Group will hold a 30% stake.

Services provided by the Sauerborn Trust AG (Suisse) will be: tax, succession and estate planning, risk management, trust and fiduciary services.

Partners recently folded its private asset management services into the new company, Asset Management Partners, focusing on private clients. Kurt Kohler, formerly deputy chairman on the board of Cantrade Private bank and head of UBS Private Banking in Zurich, has been appointed as chief executive officer at the new company.

Partners Group manages four billion dollars in alternative investments worldwide.
