UK - Threadneedle Asset Management says it has appointed J P Morgan Fleming’s Louise Valli as institutional marketing project manager.

“Since she has joined, she has made a considerable contribution to the team,” said Mark Stanley, head of institutional business at Threadneedle.

Valli, who had worked at J P Morgan for 11 years, left the company as head of pan-European marketing in May to join Threadneedle, where she had been hired on a short-term contract.

“She will now be able to further develop the services and communications we offer in all areas of the institutional business,” Stanley added.

In her capacity as project manager, Valli will be responsible for “planning, project management and implementation of marketing and communication activities supporting all the areas of Threadneedle’s institutional business”, the company said in a statement.

The appointment showed its “trend of expansion and development” had been continued.

Threadneedle is part of American Express and won 2.5 billion pounds (3.74 billion euros) in mandates in 2003. Its multi-manager arm Attica changed its name last week to MM.
