UK – Threadneedle Asset Management’s multi-manager arm Attica has changed its name to MM.
Attica Asset Management said in a statement that it would focus solely on long-only multi-manager products and be renamed MM Asset Management.
“We have chosen to continue with the MM name as we believe it captures the simplicity, efficiency and directness of our investment approach and team culture,” it said. MM was the internal name for its multi-manager division.
Assets under management doubled in 2003 to 500 million pounds. Pension clients include the CCL Industries scheme and McCain Foods.
American Express’s Threadneedle became a majority shareholder of Attica in October 2003, after an initial investment in 2002. Attica was set up in 1999, with the multi-manager division founded by Derrick Dunne and Guy Davies.
