**Towers poaches business development consultants from Mercer**
UK – Benefits consultancy firm, Towers Perrin, has poached two business development consultants, Martin Good and Jason Kenny, from rival consultants William M. Mercer.
Good has worked as a business development consultant for over 16 years, most recently at Mercer where he was responsible for leading the sales teams as well as for identifying, prospecting and acquiring new corporate business.
Kenny was also responsible for getting in new corporate clients and developing new services into existing client accounts.

**Mondas appoints new COO**
UK – Securities and investment software solutions company, Mondas has appointed Jarlath McGee as chief operating officer.
McGee joined Mondas last year as sales director, having joined from Thomson Financial where he was also sales director.

**HBOS recruits new marketing director for asset management**
UK – Edinburgh based HBOS has appointed David Norman as marketing director for the retail side of its £67bn (€108bn) asset management business.
Norman has gained previous experience in the UK retail market with Friends, Ivory & Sime, Prudential and Threadneedle.

**Rodamco Asia announces death of chairman**
NETHERLANDS/ASIA – It is with regret that IPE announces the death of Eoghan M. McMillan, chairman of the managing board of Rotterdam based Rodamco Asia.
McMillan, who was 66, joined Rodamco in 1994 and was elected to the management board in 1996.
He was with Arthur Andersen between 1959 and 1993, during which time he also was appointed by the Hong Kong government as independent director and chairman of the Hong Kong Futures Exchange.

**CCF-SEI appoints new chief strategist**
FRANCE – Multi-manager portfolio management company, CCF-SEI has appointed Jean-Louis Azoulay as chief strategist. In addition, he will join CCF-SEI Investment’s management board.
Azoulay joins from CCF where he was head of the international fixed income sales team, prior to which he set up the central bank sales desk at Banque Indosuez.

**bfinance appoints Hart to institutional asset management team**
UK – Michael Hart has joined bfinance as relationship manager to its asset management team in London, with a mandate to grow its institutional business.
Hart joins from Morley fund Management where he was senior sales executive.

**Drachman appointed CEO of EquiLend**
US – Recently formed global securities lending platform, EquiLend, has appointed Ian Drachman chief executive officer.
Drachman joins from PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was director of management consulting services and responsible for strategic IT solutions in risk management.
His immediate responsibility at EquiLend is to oversee the implementation of the platform, formed in May by a consortium of major financial institutions including Barclays Global Investors, Bear, Steams & Co, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, Lehman Brothers, Merrill lynch, Morgan Stanley, Northern Trust, State Street and UBS Warburg.

**New research head at Almeida**
UK – London based private equity research and advisory company, Almeida Capital, has appointed Chris Dawson as head of research.
Dawson joins from Bridge News, where he managed a team of 30 researchers and journalists across Europe.
His main responsibility at Almeida is to develop the company’s research function to cope with customer demand.

**Morley takes on senior fund manager**
UK – Morley Fund Management has appointed Michael Jennings as senior fund manager to its global equity team in London.
Jennings joins from Sarasin Investment Management, where he spent 12 years as director and manager of themed equity funds.

**Lasalle IM appoint new Middle East head**
UK / MIDDLE EAST – Lasalle Investment Management has appointed Nick Brooks a national director responsible for client services in the Middle East.
Brooks, who will be based in London, has 17 years in the property field, particularly in the commercial investment and tourist property industries. He joins from Jones Lang Lasalle Hotels, where he was senior vice president for five years.

**Tizard to BITA Plus as commercial director**
Portfolio research consultancy BITAPlus, has appointed Simon Tizard as commercial director.
Tizard will be responsible for all areas of sales, marketing and business development.
Prior to joining BITA Plus, he was director of commercial development at TCA Synergo.
