UK – UBS has named former Watson Wyatt consultant Richard Boardman as director of pensions strategy - replacing Huw Williams, who has left.

Williams, who joined UBS from Royal Bank of Scotland in July last year, left the Swiss bank earlier this year. He had been tasked with its move into European liability-driven investing.

Boardman, who left Watson Wyatt as a senior investment consultant at the end of March, started at UBS last month. There is currently no direct replacement at Watson Wyatt.

The moves come as investment banks are increasingly seeking to provide products to pension funds.

Marcus Karlsson has also joined the UBS team last month from Swedish life insurer Skandia. He will be working as a life and pensions marketer at UBS Investment Bank.
