UK - The UK Pensions Regulator (TPR) is searching for advisers on administration and pension scheme governance.

In a tender notice, TPR said it was looking for advice on member recordkeeping in particular, while highlighting that all areas of administration would be examined.

TPR said it was looking for companies or individuals with experience in defined benefit and defined contribution schemes, as well as trust-based and contract-based pensions.

It said bidders for the 24-month contract should have a good understanding of pension regulation, specifically regarding the "new duties arising from workplace pension reform".

The regulator said at least three operators would be awarded the contracts.

"We have been placing an increased focus on governance and adminstration. As a contingency, we are tendering for a framework agreement in case TPR requries further external advice and support in this area in the future. This is for a framework agreement only - at present, we do not intend to spend any further TPR resources on professional services," noted a spokesperson.

Those interested have a month to submit their proposals, while the decision will be announced by 16 August.
