UK – The UK’s Pension Service is looking for a deputy finance director, to be based in Leeds in northern England.

“Whether from the public or private sector, you should be a qualified finance professional with outstanding management accounting and the ability to pay a key role in driving organisational change,” says the Department for Work and Pensions.

The job carries a 55,000-pound (78,000 euro) salary. The Pension Service is part of the DWP and was set up in April 2002 to modernise the delivery of work and benefit related services. It has 17,000 staff and a 700 million pound annual budget.

“We’re currently in the middle of a wholesale reorganisation of all our businesses and IT systems,” the DWP says.
