UK - Private equity house, Pantheon, has revamped its global and European investment and client service teams with the transfer of investment specialists and senior staff from within the Russell Investment Group as well as via external recruitment.

The move comes after Russell’s recent acquisition of Pantheon.

Paul Ward, ex investment director at Lehman Brothers’ private equity group, joins the firm as vice president. Ward will also join the firm’s global secondary team.

Helen Steers, former head of Russell’ s equity business in Europe, has been appointed partner of the European investment team and member of Pantheon’s International Investment Committee working out of the firm’s London office.

Investment manager Nicholas Drapeau, from Russell’s European team and associate Kart Scheer from the US team will now be respectively based in the company’s London and San Francisco offices.

Also new at the San Francisco branch is investment manager Hallie Kim, who joined Pantheon from Credit Suisse First Boston’s private fund group.

“Private equity funds-of funds are increasingly the solution of choice for many categories of investors”, said David Braman, senior partner at the US office.

Pantheon’s client service and marketing resources has also been boosted with the appointment of Sally Collier as marketing Director in Europe.

Collier, Pantheon said, has previously worked in the field of investment banking with HSBC and Lehman Brothers.
