EUROPE – Consulting firm Watson Wyatt says it has won five new clients recently.

They include wins at Tesco, Polestar, P&O Nedlloyd (recently acquired by A.P. Moller - Maersk), Nuffield Hospitals and Police Mutual.

The firm has been retained to provide “various investment consulting services” to the companies, a statement said.

“We are delighted and proud that these firms have chosen Watson Wyatt as their investment consultants and look forward to providing them with independent investment advice,” said Kevin Carter, European head of investment consulting at the firm.

Watson has also hired Ravi Rastogi from rival Psolve where he was a principal and business manager. He will start in December.

Rastogi, a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, had previously worked in an investment consulting role at PricewaterhouseCoopers, it said. “He brings with him excellent skills and industry knowledge which, combined with his enthusiasm and ability to design and implement client-led investment solutions, will be very useful at this time of expansion,” Carter said.

Also joining are Alex Sabell and Rikhav Shah from Hewitt Associates and Kai Tou Ho from Cass Business School.

Tim Stalkartt joins from accountants Grant Thornton as a senior consultant in its executive financial planning group.
