GLOBAL - BoAML, PGGM, FME, CP Eaton Partners, Sampo, Hermes BPK, GAD

Bank of America Merrill Lynch - Steven Niemczyk is leaving his current post as global head of asset managment investment banking at UBS in London to become global head of asset management investment banking at BoAML in June. He will relocate to New York and report to Michael Rubinoff, head of global financiali institutions corporate and investment banking.

PGGM - Rene van de Kieft, chief financial officer, is leaving the investment house on 1 September for personal reasons and to pursue new challenges.

FME - Gunnar Andersen is the new director general of Iceland's Financial Supervisory Authority (FME). He was previously head of fraud prevention and control at the Icelandic Social Insurance Administration as well as deputy director general for resource development and analysis, but also served as director general of the European Healthcare Fraud and Corruption Network in Brussels.

CP Eaton Partners - Dawn Rinaldi has joined the firm as chief operating and chief financial officer, and will assume the role of chief compliance officer in the second quarter of this year. She was previously chief financial officer at Platinum Grove Asset Management.

Sampo - Kari Stadigh has been appointed as group chief executive and president of Sampo Group with effective from today (8 April 2009). He replaces Björn Wahlroos, who has now become Sampo's chairman of the board.

Hermes BPK Partners - Glyn Jones has been appointed as chairman of Hermes BPK Partners, the alternative multi-manager adviser and fund of hedge funds boutique. The founding partners of the firm created by Hermes and BPK are Matteo Dante Perruccio - who was previously CEO of Olympia Capital Management - as chief executive, along with Mark Barker and Gregory Knott as co-CIOs.

Government Actuary's Department - Barbara Sinkinson has joined as head of research, having previously worked in the research departments of consulting firms Hewitt and Aon.
