GLOBAL - EFAMA, Aon Consulting, Portuguese reserve fund, Hermes, Mellon, Jupiter, Sacker, Halbis

EFAMA - Mathias Bauer has been elected president of the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA). The chief executive of Raiffeisen Capital Management (RCM) in Vienna succeeds Stefan Bichsel whose term as president came to end last week. Jean-Baptiste de Franssu, chief executive of INVESCO Continental Europe takes over from Bauer as new vice-president.

Aon Consulting - Mats Langensjö announced that he will be leaving Aon Consulting in Sweden to join a "new and exciting business building project in autumn". The management of Aon Consulting in Sweden will be taken over by Ola Larson.

Portuguese reserve fund - Pedro Barroso has left his job as head of investments at Portugal's Social Security Reserve Fund (FEFSS). The reserve fund, which won last year's IPE country award for Portugal, had total assets of €6.18bn at the end of 2005.

Hermes - Bertrand Biragnet is the new investment director at Hermes Focus Asset Management (HFAME). Joining from JPMorgan Biragnet takes over from Marco Ricci on Monday. Ricci will remain a member of HFAME's investment committee.

Mellon Global Investments - Morgan Stanley's Marcus Littler started on June 11 as director of institutional liquidity sales. In this new position he is responsible for the sale of Mellon's liquidity products to European institutions, including pension funds.

Jupiter - Mark Wilmott joins Jupiter Asset Management as institutional business development manager. To help Jupiter strengthen its institutional business Wilmott leaves Royal London Asset Management where he worked in a similar role.

Sacker - Ian D'Costa joins UK pension law firm Sacker & Partners LLP as solicitor. He was recruited from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer where he worked in the firm's pension team.

Halbis - Tarne Bevan was named head of Trade Execution at Halbis, the active asset management specialist of the HSBC Group. She had worked with HSBC prior to joining Halbis earlier this year.
