Pimco - Mohamed El-Erian is rejoining investment manager Pimco as co-CEO and co-CIO. El-Erian had been managing director and senior portfolio manager before leaving Pimco in 2005 to work at Harvard Management Company.

Robeco - Frank Alexander de Boers, who opened Robeco's Frankfurt office five years ago as managing director, will resign from his post in the first quarter of 2008. Robeco said de Boers was leaving to take up a new professional challenge, adding it  is currently looking for a replacement.

Barnett Waddingham - Keith Satchell is joining as chairman of the management board. The former chief executive of Friends Provident retired from the life insurer earlier this year. He is currently also life, pensions and asset management adviser to Goldman Sachs International.

Northern Trust Global Investments Limited - Wayne Bowers has been promoted to the newly-created role of chief investment officer, international, based in London. He will be responsible for ensuring consistent investment process and performance across Europe, Middle-East, Africa (EMEA) and Asia-Pacific (APAC). He previously was director of global fixed income.

Morley - Chris Higham has joined the fund manager's fixed income team as fund manager. Higham is leaving Old Mutual Asset Managers (UK) to rejoin Morley in November.

Standard Life Investments - Jack Kelly has left ABN Amro where he was senior portfolio manager, and started at Standard Life's global fixed income team as investment director for global fixed Income.

Credit Suisse Asset Management - Zurich Corporate Pensions' Phil Redding has started at CSAM's UK institutional distribution team as a director in London, with responsibility forr elationships with institutional clients in the UK and Ireland.

KPMG - Graham Pearce has left Mercer in Munich to join KPMG as a partner, to head up a new pensions advisory team within the transaction services group in Germany.   Moreover, Floris Kloosterman has left Cordares in the Netherlands, where he was an actuarial adviser on behalf of BPF-Bouw and PPF, to join KPMG UK's London office as pensions adviser in international M&A.

Mercer - Meanwhile, Mercer has appointed Martin Johnson as a principal within its Financial Strategy Group (FSG) in London. Johnson joins from Integrated Finance Ltd.

Watson Wyatt - Le Roy Van Zyl joins as a senior consultant in the benefits team in London. He joins from Mercer Human Resources Consulting in Amsterdam where he was a senior consultant working on M&A, retirement financial management and trustee governance.

Hewitt Associates - Lane, Clark & Peacock's David Bush has rejoined Hewitt's UK corporate pension consulting team in London.

Investec Asset ManagementRichard Chadderton has been appointed to the UK institutional team as a client service executive with a focus on equity and multi-asset strategies. He joins from Lazard Asset management.

OMEGA Capital Asset Management - Alberto Ruiz Rodríguez has been appointed the first managing director of a new Madrid-based alternatives asset management company, OMEGA Capital Asset Management, which is targeting institutional investors. Ruiz leaves Spanish consultancy AFI where he was a partner.

ProTRUST - David Johnson, a former director and worldwide partner of Mercer, will head up the pension fund trustee search an selection firm's expansion plans.

Pension Protection Fund - The board of the PPF has appointed Ann Berresford and Sir Anthony Holland as new non-executive members. Berresford is a trustee of the Avon Pension Fund while Holland is currently chairman of the Standards Board for England.

AP1 - The Swedish government has appointed Anders Knape, chairmen of Sweden's municipalities and county councils, as a new member of the AP1 board. Knape replaces Lars Isaksson.
