Investment Solutions - Michelle McGrade has been appointed as chief Investment officer of Investment Solutions, part of the Alexander Forbes Group. Most recently she was head of multi-manager portfolio management at Northern Trust Global Advisors.

Cardano - David West has left Brown Shipley to start at Cardano’s London-based team as head of operations in the UK, which includes responsibility for leading the operations team supporting Cardano’s UK clients.

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership - Martin Currie Asset Management’s Michael McNaught-Davis (pictured right) is the new investment director in the global equities team, based in Edinburgh. McNaught-Davis will analyse the pharmaceuticals sector on both the Japan and global desks.

International Financial Data Services - Simon Hudson-Lund has been promoted to chief executive officer of IFDS, the transfer agency joint venture between State Street Corporation and DST Systems.

Hymans Robertson - Martin Boniface has been appointed senior consultant, joining from Hewitt Associates. He will work in both London and Birmingham.

Pimco - Jeroen van Bezooijen has left Goldman Sachs to join Pimco’s European liability-driven investment (LDI) business as senior vice president and product manager responsible for the European LDI business, based in London.

Axa Framlington - Neil Denman has been appointed as emerging markets fund manager. He joins from Hexam Capital Partners in London where he was co-manager for the global resources absolute return fund.

Resolution Asset Management - Martin Brown, from Aberdeen Asset Management, has been hired as an investment manager on Resolution’s UK equity desk. He will report to Peter Reid, chief investment officer for UK equities.

AXA Rosenberg Investment Management - Lehman Brothers’ Michael Greve has joined as marketing director and will be based in London office, while responsible for Nordic region sales.

Montae - ING Investment Management’s Gerard Bergsma will join the executive board of Montae’s governance centre, on April 1.

Brown Advisory - Logie Fitzwilliams, a director with the firm, has been named as the head of the recently-launched London office of US investment firm Brown Adivsory, which specialises in US equities.

Chi-X - Tony Whalley, investment director at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership has been appointed as non-executive director of the pan-European equity multilateral trading facility (MTF).
