GLOBAL - Pimco, Edhec, SAM, Hymans Robertson, JOHCM, SPC, Barings, Mercer, Aon, B&CE, S&P

Pimco - John Griffiths has been promoted to the role of senior vice-president and head of UK institutional business development, based in London.

Edhec - Chief investment officer at the €33bn Dutch PMT pension fund Theo Jeurissen was today named chairman of the International Advisory Board of the Edhec Risk and Asset Management Research Centre. The function is an addition to his work for PMT.

Sustainable Asset Management
- Roman Binder is the new chief operating officer and a member of executive committee. He previously worked at Credit Suisse in Singapore and Zurich.

Hymans Robertson - Abbey National Asset Managers' Kenneth Wood has been appointed as a manager research consultant in London, focusing on currency and global tactical asset allocation (GTAA). Graeme Johnston has also joined the Glasgow office as senior investment consultant from Resolution Asset Management.

JO Hambro Capital Management - Nudgem Richyal will co-manage the London-based global and EAFE strategies, to be launched in October. He will join next week to begin setting up the strategies in advance of Chris Lees, who is also joining in September. Richyal and and Lees were part of the portfolio management team at Baring Asset Management.

The Society of Pension Consultants - Duncan Howorth, managing director of the Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) employee benefits division, has been elected to president, taking over from Mark Ashworth.

Baring Asset Management - Harjeet Heer, from Credit Suisse Asset Management (CSAM), is joining the London-based fixed income and currency team as head of the global aggregate business.

Mercer - Iain Wilson joins Mercer as principal from Lane Clark & Peacock. He will be based in the Croydon office, in the South East of England.

Aon Consulting - Sarah Zambonini
, previously at Mercer, has started at the Investment Consulting Practice (ICP) in Bristol.

B&CE Benefit Schemes - Frank McCann from Cattles Invoice Finance is the new national sales development manager, a new role created to help employers prepare for the introduction of personal accounts in 2012.
 
S&P - Citigroup's Sameer Shah and FTSE's Gareth Parker have both been appointed as directors of research and design in Europe.
