GAM - Alexander Shaw, head of UK institutional and global head of consultants for Northern Europe, has left GAM in London.

Redington PartnersPricewaterhouseCoopers' Oliver Hamilton has joined the firm as an investment consultant in London, devising investment strategies and providing advice on asset and liability management.

Hewitt Associates - John Nestor has been appointed as head of distribution for its UK Investment Consulting practice. He was previously a managing director with Citigroup.

Arbeitsgemeinschaft berufsständischer Versorgungseinrichtungen (ABV) - Ulrich Kirchhoff has been re-appointed as the chairman of the executive board of ABV, the lobby for German professional pension funds in Hannover. He has been chairing the board since 2000.

Sarasin & Partners - Fergus Crawford has been named chief executive of the new branch office in Dublin, Ireland, which will be officially launched on 19 November.

Cordea Savills - David Cunnington has been promoted to managing director of Cordea Savills SGR and has relocated to Milan from London. Pirelli Real Estate's Salvatore Ruoppolo has been appointed head of investment, with responsibility for the investment and asset management team in Italy. Paola Fiorini has been appointed chief operating officer of Cordea Savills SGR, also in Milan. She joined in July 2008 after leaving Babcock and Brown.

Barclays Global Investors - The asset management group is looking for a client relationship officer for its Italian institutional business.

Kieger - Analyst and consultant Nicola Salvi left the Swiss financial institutional adviser firm at the beginning of October. He had been with the Lugano-based consultancy company since 2004.

Sindicatum Capital International - Struan Wight, marketing manager at Sindicatum in London has left the company and joined Citigroup's asset management business.
