IBM UK Pensions Trust  - John McLean was appointed a director of its trustee board. McLean is vice president of WebSphere Connectivity Development at the computer. He replaces Graham Spittle who has changed roles within IBM.

Nordea - Timo Penttilä, currently managing director of Carnegie Asset Management Finland, will succeed Staffan Sevón in March as manager responsible for the asset management of Nordea's institutional customers in Finland. Sevón has left the company.

Fidelity Investments - Peter Cieszko, former president and chief executive of Evergreen Investments, the investment management arm of Wachovia, was named president of Fidelity Investments Institutional Services Company, replacing Joe LoRusso, who stepped down on December 31, after previously announcing his retirement.

Eureko - Maarten Dijkshoorn has stepped down as chairman and chief executive officer of the executive board of Eureko. He has taken this decision based on personal reasons, according to a company statement. The supervisory board will now consider the succession and the appointment of a new CEO. Until then, vice-presidents Willem van Duin and Gerard van Olphen will temporarily replace the position.

Nationale Suisse - Rodolfo Lindner, chief investment officer at the Swiss insurer, has decided to leave the company. The board of directors has appointed Benno Flury, currently with Swiss Re, to be his successor.

Redington Partners - Mark Herne and David Thompson from Lehman Brothers and Collingham Capital Management respectively have been appointed senior consultants.  They will devise investment strategies for clients, providing advice on asset and liability management.

The CFA Institute - John Rogers, the former head of Invesco's institutional business was appointed as president and chief executive at the global association for investment professionals that administers the CFA and CIPM curriculum and examination programs worldwide, following Jeff Diermeier's departure.

Hymans Robertson - Baillie Gifford's Linda Selman and Julie Macdonald, from Aon Consulting, both join the Glasgow office to work with public and private sector clients, advising on all aspects of strategic investment including asset allocation and investment manager structure and selection. Lochlan O'Sullivan, previously with Fortis, joins the quant and risk team, also in Glasgow. Alen Ong, who worked at Morgan Stanley, joins the London team.

HSBC Actuaries and Consultants - John Longhurst from Gissings was appointed as a senior consultant in the trustee proposition part of the business.

Interactive Data - Roger Sargeant, managing director of Interactive Data Europe, was promoted to managing director, international business, effective immediately. Sargeant now will be responsible for leading Interactive Data's institutional business outside of North America.

Merrill Lynch - Robert McCann, brokerage chief of the company, will leave the firm just after the acquisition by Bank of America, after 26 years, according to Merrill's chief executive John Thain.

Mandarine Gestion - Andreas Krebs has joined investment management boutique Mandarine Gestion from Commerzbank's asset management unit Commerzbank Europe in Dublin as new partner of the company, responsible for distribution in Germany, based in Frankfurt.
