GLOBAL - Aberdeen AM, Kas Bank, Morgan Stanley, Fortis, ABI, SSgA, Ruffer, RCM.

Aberdeen Asset Management - Paul Griffiths will succeed Gary Bartlett as global head of fixed income at the end of June, leaving Credit Suisse's asset management division. He will join Aberdeen as part of acquisition of various businesses from Credit Suisse.

Kas Bank - Citigroup's Sikko van Katwijk will rejoin the Dutch securities bank as he has been appointed to the managing board as chief commercial officer. He will succeed Hans Kadiks as member of the managing board, who will leave on 1 September.

Morgan Stanley Investment Management - Carolijn ter Haar and David Boyle, who are based in London and New York respectively, have been hired to evaluate investment opportunities across Europe, the Americas and Asia. Ter Haar was previously senior fund manager at Mn Services. Boyle has also held senior positions with APG Investments US (formerly ABP Investments) and Brookfield Asset Management.

Fortis - Louis Cheung Chi Yan, a member of the Fortis board of directors, has resigned with immediate effect. Chi Yan - executive director and group president of Ping An - joined Fortis as a director in April 2008. Andrew Spencer Doman - who was nominated by Ping An as candidate for the Fortis Board of Directors - has also withdrawn his candidacy.

Association of British Insurers - Dane Douetil, chief executive (CEO) of Brit Insurance, and Trevor Matthews, CEO of Friends Provident, have been appointed to the trade body's board.

State Street Global Advisors - Michael Arone, vice president and head of product engineering for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), along with Brett Collins has relocated from State Street in Boston to London's European product engineering team in London.

Ruffer - Myles Marmion has been appointed finance director, joining from ED&F Man Holdings where he was group chief financial officer. Earlier, AllianceBernstein's Guy Thornewill started as a research analyst concentrating on European equities.

RCM - Blackrock's Sue Chan has joined the global equity company within Allianz Global Investors, as senior portfolio manager for global equities.
