GLOBAL - Japan Tobacco International, USS, AEIP, SGCIB, Standard Life Investments, Gartmore, UBS, Rowanmoor Pensions, JER, AMB Property Corp, F&C Reit, CBRE, IPD.

Japan Tobacco International - Paul Wales has moved to the company's Geneva office to take up the post of global pensions asset management director. He was previously senior fund manager at RAB Capital, managing their fund of hedge funds but prior to this, he was an investment consultant at Mercer and Bacon & Woodrow.

Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) - Luke Dixon has left JP Morgan, where he was executive director responsible for global hedge fund due diligence on EMEA structured products, and joined USS today as a portfolio manager for its absolute return strategies team. He will report to Mike Powell, head of alternative assets.

Association Européenne des Institutions Paritaires (AEIP) - Francesco Briganti is now director of the Brussels office while Sibylle Reichert has been made director in charge of relations with European institutions. Corinne Lamarcq is also general affairs manager while Sarah Rijpkema joined the team on May 4 as assistant.

Société Generale Corporate & Investment Banking - Bart Kuijpers, previously head of pensions at RBS, is now managing director for pension and insurance advisory at Société Generale Corporate & Investment Banking.

Standard Life Investments - Simone Bouch has been appointed as investment director for UK institutional business at the asset manager. She was previously an executive director at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, leading the direct sales to large UK corporate pension plans and foundations and now reports to Louise Kay, head of UK institutional business development.

Gartmore - Luke Newman is portfolio manager within UK team and will work with Ben Wallace on the recently-launched Gartmore UK Absolute Return and AlphaGen Octanis Funds. He previously held a fund management role for UK equity long-only and long/short funds at Deutsche Asset Management.

UBS - Chi-Won Yoon has replacd Rory Tapner, who was with the firm for 25 years, to become chairman and CEO of Asia Pacific as well as join the firm's group executive board. Yoon initially joined UBS in 1997 as head of equity derivatives.

Rowanmoor Pensions - Robert Graves has been promoted to head of technical services, having joined the firm in February 2008 as product development manager.  He will report to Ian Hammond, managing director.

JER - Barden Gale has been named as chief executive of the global commercial real estate investment management company. He joined from Starwood Capital Group, where he was vice chairman of real estate. Joseph E. Robert, Jr, founder of JER and its chairman and chief executive since 1981, will become executive chairman.

AMB Property Corporation - Jim Green has left JER where he was managing director and co-global head of capital markets and client relations to take up the newly-created position of managing director for global client services at AMB. He will oversee global fund raising for AMB Capital Partners LLC, and report to John T. Roberts, Jr, president for private capital.

F&C Reit - Angus Henderson is the new head of business development. He was formerly business development manager at Axa Reim.

CB Richard Ellis - Matthew Tepper has joined as an associate director for the global multi-manager (GMM) business.  Based in Boston, he will report to Scott Brown , GMM Managing Director and head of the Americas. He was previously associate in the private equity real estate investment banking division at Wachovia Securities.

IPD - Simon Fairchild has taken over as managing director IPD North America. Based in Chicago, he replaces Simon Mallinson, head of US services who set up the operation five years ago but who is now leaving in mid-September to join Invesco Real Estate Europe in its London office.
