GLOBAL - Hymans Robertson, Credit Suisse, UBS, Hewitt Associates, Gatemore Capital Management, BNY Mellon, SWIP, Hermes

Hymans Robertson - James Entwisle has become the new managing partner at the consultancy, succeeding Russell Borland who in July announced he would be retiring on ill-health grounds. Both executives will work together over the next three months to ease the transition.

Credit Suisse - Michael Ingelog will join the firm in January 2010 as chief executive officer of the Nordic Region. Reporting to Eric Varvel, CEO of the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, he will be a member of the EMEA Operating Committee and will initially be based in London before eventually relocating to the Nordic region.

UBS - Chris Yiannakou has joined the firm's global asset management division as its London-based head of consultant relationships, reporting to Merle Cockerill, global head of consultant relationships and communications. He was formerly consultant relations director at Pioneer Global Investments.

Hewitt Associates - The consultancy has promoted the following people to the position of principal consultant: Timothy Currell and Lennox Hartman from the global investment practice, Andrew Kieran, Neil Maxwell and Richard Smith from the retirement practice.

Gatemore Capital Management - The New York-based boutique investment consultancy has appointed Mark Hodgson to launch its London office. He was previously director of investment consulting at HSBC Actuaries & Consultants.

BNY Mellon - Leonique van Houwelingen is stepping into the newly-created role of country executive for the Netherlands. She takes on this role in addition to her existing role as general manager of the Amsterdam branch of  The Bank of New York Mellon and its Belgium-based European banking entity. She joined in 2003 as head of legal, risk and compliance for the EMEA region but then took over  as head of relationship management for Continental European clients in 2006.

SWIP - Andrew Tunks has been named as interim director of fixed income. He was previously head of fixed income and global macro at Old Mutual.

Hermes BPK - The fund of hedge fund investment partnership within Hermes Fund Managers has appointed Pierluigi Ricchiuti as senior analyst of credit strategies, based in its New York office. He was previously head of credit trading and first vice president at Banca Intesa for the North American Credit Derivatives desk. He will report to Tommaso Mancuso, head of research.
