GLOBAL - ING IM Europe, Lane Clark & Peacock, Hewitt Associates, Vanguard Group, MSCI, SWIP, Armstrong IM, Russell Investments, PensionsFirst Analytics, Inspiro, Corestate

ING IM - Michel van Elk is taking over as chief executive of ING IM Europe from Gilbert Van Hassel, who recently became global CEO ING Investment Management. He is currently chief marketing officer at ING IM Europe.

Lane Clark & Peacock - Stuart McKinnon has been promoted to partner within the investment consulting practice. He joined the firm in 2008 while Ian Mills has now joined as a senior investment consultant. He was previously at Credit Suisse, and has expertise in the use of derivatives for pensions liability hedging.

Hewitt Associates - Laun Middleton and David Page have joined the investment consulting team. Middleton was previously part of the pensions and investment team at Deloitte's UK investment services, advising blue chip companies and pensions trustees. Page has arrived from PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was investment adviser to trustee and corporate clients on manager selection, investment strategy and asset liability modeling and headed the firm's manager research team.

Vanguard Group - Didier Haenecour has joined as a fixed income manager and co-portfolio manager to seven of the 12 Irish-domiciled Vanguard Investment Series plc funds, alongside portfolio manager Gregory Davis. He previously worked at Northern Trust Global Investments, Prudential M&G and CIGNA Investment Management.

MSCI - Anand S. Iyer has been appointed managing director and head of multi-asset class research, based in New York, with specific focus on defined contributions. He was previously CIO and head of alternative beta and portable alpha trading at Investcorp International.

SWIP - James Taylor has been appointed as investment director for government bonds, reporting to Graeme Caughey, head of government bonds at SWIP. He was formerly head of fixed income portfolios at Gulf International Bank UK.

Armstrong Investment Managers - Eugen Fostiak  and Gideon Nell have joined as partners. Fostiak is a portfolio manager, having previously worked with Ana Armstrong and Patrick Armstrong while at Insight Investment's Multi-Asset Group, and as a director at UBS Wealth Management.  Nell also arrives from Insight to look after business and manager origination.

Russell Investments - Chris Adolph has joined the London investment division as head of transition management (EMEA). He was recently director and head of transition management EMEA at UBS.

PensionsFirst Analytics - Benjamin Reid has been named as chief executive officer. He was a founding partner of the parent company.

Insparo - Jamie Allsopp, who was previously portfolio manager to New Star Asset Management's Heart of Africa fund, will be primarily responsible for marketing the Insparo Africa & Middle East Fund.

Corestate - Mark Wössner has been appointed to the company's advisory board as principal senior adviser to focus on the private equity firm's business areas acquisitions and restructuring of non-performing portfolios and loans. He has served on the boards of several German companies.
