GLOBAL - State Street Corporation, Pension Corporation, Partners Group, Union Bancaire Privée, Rexiter Capital Management, BlueCrest Capital Management, Bouwfonds REIM

State Street Corporation - Per Ståhl has been appointed as sales manager for the Nordic region, while Roel van de Wiel joins as business development executive for the Netherlands. Based in Amsterdam, Ståhl will be responsible for managing business development activities for the Nordic region, with a focus on institutional investors in Scandinavia, Iceland and Finland. Van de Wiel will focus on growing State Street's Global Services business in the Netherlands. Before joining State Street, Ståhl was director of global distribution and investment structuring for private equity firm Oxford Sustainable Group. Van de Wiel brings six years of experience with ABN AMRO Mellon, as well as JP Morgan Chase Bank.

Pension Corporation - Jim Collins has joined Pension Corporation, a provider of risk management solutions to defined benefit pension funds, as chief actuary. He joins from Towers Watson, where he was a senior consultant. He joined Tillinghast in 1986 as an actuary in the Tillinghast life insurance consulting practice of Towers Perrin and remained with the practice after its merger with Watson Wyatt at the beginning of 2010.

Partners Group - The investment manager has made a number of senior management promotions and announced the opening of a new office in Munich. Erik Gunnervall, investments solutions; Andreas Knecht, general counsel; Robert Lustenberger, investment solutions; and Philipp Schnyder, private equity secondaries - all based in Zug - have been promoted to managing directors, as have Peter Nietzer, private equity directs and primaries in Munich, and Juri Jenkner, private debt, in London. Jürgen Diegruber and Armin Weiland will become partners and establish the Munich office.
 
Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) - Philippe Broadhead has joined as head of UK sales in UBP's asset management division. Prior to joining UBP, he held a number of positions over eight years at Legal & General Investment Management, including head of UK institutional distribution, head of hedge fund distribution and head of multi-manager investments. Before then, he held a number of business development roles at Friends Ivory & Sime and Friends Provident.
 
Rexiter Capital Management - The emerging markets and Asian investment specialist and affiliate of State Street Global Alliance has named Christopher Vale as chief executive, effective 1 January. Subject to regulatory approval, Vale, who serves as Asian chief investment officer, will succeed Kenneth King, Rexiter's chairman and founder, who is set to retire at year end. Vale will also retain his responsibilities as Asian chief investment officer. Jared Chase, senior managing director at State Street Global Advisors and chairman of State Street Global Alliance, will serve as chairman at Rexiter and retain his position as chairman of Global Alliance.

BlueCrest Capital Management - Jaime Valdivia has joined the company as head of global emerging markets research and strategy. He joins from Emerging Sovereign Group, where he was a partner, portfolio manager and director of global macroeconomic research, specialising in global sovereign credit and rates strategy. He has previously been head of global emerging markets research at Morgan Stanley, and was the desk economist at the International Monetary Fund.

Bouwfonds REIM - Ruud Roosen has joined the company as director of Parking Fund II for the commercial real estate investment business unit. He will be responsible for fund management of Bouwfonds European Real Estate Parking Fund II. This second parking garage fund for institutional investors will be introduced at the beginning of next year. Before joining Bouwfonds, Roosen was an associate director in the real estate department at NIBC Investment Management. Before then, he worked in various positions at Mn Services and PRC Bouwcentrum.
