Towers Watson - Jeremy Hill has been appointed director of the consultancy’s international consulting group, specifically to support the development of global benefit management services. Hill is a former chairman at the International Employee Benefit Association and has more than 20 years’ experience. He joins Towers Watson after eight years at Mercer, where he was a principal in the international team.

Nestlé Germany - Peter Hadasch, chairman of the Pensionskasse for Nestlé Germany, will be named new head of human resources at Nestlé Germany, succeeding Elke Strathmann, who is leaving Nestlé at the end of October. Hadasch confirmed to IPE that he would be taking on this new role in addition to his position at the Pensionskasse, as well as his board membership at the association for company pension schemes VFPK.
 
Aegon Global Pensions - Iain Stringer has been appointed regional sales director for the UK, Ireland and the Nordics. Based in London, he will focus on helping multinational companies and organisations to improve the management and delivery of their pensions. Stringer joined the company in 1999 and has worked at Aegon Global Pensions since January 2007. He has also served as senior sales consultant at Scottish Equitable.

Grant Thornton - The UK-based financial and business adviser has appointed Neil Knights as a pensions audit director. He arrives from the pensions team at Baker Tilly and will be responsible for the delivery of audit services to pension trustees. He also specialises in advising trustees on risk management and improving scheme governance.

HSBC Securities Services - Stephen Isgar and Richard Parkin have joined the relationship management and sales team for European pensions. Based in London, both will be responsible for securing new pension fund clients as part of a strategic growth plan for the sector. Before joining HSBC, Isgar spent more than two years at KAS BANK. He has also worked at Thomas Reuters, Euromoney and Fitch Ratings. Parkin most recently served as European development manager at Daiwa SB Investments.

Russell Investments - Crispin Lace and Nick Spencer have been appointed directors of the consulting and advisory services team. Lace, who joins from Mercer, will focus on UK institutional investors, including defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes. Spencer, who joins from GAM, has been appointed director of consulting, with responsibility for the retail and insurance sector in Europe. Both will be based in London.

Henderson Global Investors - Fidan Shtanaj has joined the Zurich office as senior sales manager for Swiss institutional clients. With a decade of experience in the industry, Shtanaj previously worked for Credit Suisse as relationship manager in the institutional sales division. In addition to his new role at Henderson, he is studying at the Swiss institute for business administration.
 
SYZ & CO - Alessia Toricelli Dolfi has joined the business development team of institutional management division SYZ Asset Management. She will advise in particular French-speaking and Ticino-based institutional investors. Before joining SYZ, she was in charge of the institutional clientele of Dexia Asset Management in French-speaking Switzerland. She has also worked at Lombard Odier Asset Management.

Fidelity Worldwide Investment - Rob Fisher has joined as head of marketing. He has been at Fidelity for more than a decade, working across a number of businesses and markets. He will report into Julian Webb, head of the defined contribution and workplace savings business.
 
BBS Consultants & Actuaries - The UK-based pensions consultancy has promoted Nick Mellor to investment analyst. In his new position, he will support the investment team in all its activities, including helping clients with strategic reviews of their investments, analysing market activity and conducting manager research.
