GLOBAL - JP Morgan Asset Management, Shilling Communication, Aquila Capital, Aksia, AMP Capital, Investec Asset Management

JP Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) - Simon Chinnery has been promoted from senior client adviser in the UK institutional team to the newly created role of head of UK defined contribution. He joined JPMAM in 2005 and before then served as a director of UK institutional client services at ABN AMRO Asset Management. He has also worked at Gartmore Investment in the pooled pensions client service.

Shilling Communication - The UK-based employee benefit communications firm has appointed Mark Belchamber to its senior management team. Belchamber previously worked as a senior consultant at Hymans Robertson and before then was head of pensions at the British Medical Association.
 
Aquila Capital - The Hamburg-based alternative investment company has appointed Armin Gudat as a senior fund manager. Gudat, who will be responsible for Aquila's quantitative funds, joins from AXA Rosenberg. He has also worked at Dresdner Bank, Westfalenbank, WestCapital, Quorum Capital Management and WestLB Asset Management.

Aksia - Oliver Newton has been appointed a senior adviser at the firm's London office. Joining from Tarchon Capital Management, he will advise institutional investor clients in Europe and the Middle East on hedge fund manager research, selection and portfolio construction. Before joining Tarchon, he worked at KPMG's Business Advisory & Services team.

AMP Capital - David Rees has been appointed co-head of asset management within the London-based European infrastructure team. He joins from National Grid, the international network energy company, where he held a number of senior finance roles. He was also chairman of trustees and a member of the investment committee of National Grid's UK pension scheme. 
 
Investec Asset Management - Victoria Harling has been appointed co-portfolio manager of the Emerging Markets Corporate Debt Strategy fund. Within the emerging markets debt team, Harling will also take responsibility for corporate emerging markets debt and hard currency emerging market debt. Before joining Investec, she spent eight years at Henderson Global Investors, where she managed emerging market debt portfolios.
