Citi - Ruud Hendriks has been appointed as a senior adviser for the markets businesses in the Netherlands. Hendriks was previously co-head of sales for Europe (excluding Germany and Austria), Middle East and Africa at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, departing in 2009. Before then, he was global head of institutional sales at Robeco. In addition to his newly appointed role at Citi, Hendriks currently serves as a senior adviser to KKR, a non-executive chairman of Man Group's institutional department, the president of Man Investments SGR and the chairman of the advisory board at Financial Assets.

Prelios Società di Gestione del Risparmio - Shareholders confirmed the board is to comprise seven members and increased the number of independent directors from four to five, further strengthening corporate governance. Paolo Ferro-Luzzi was confirmed as chairman, and Valter Lazzari as vice-chairman. The other board members will include Pietro Mazzi, Dario Frigerio, Ruggiero Respigo, Enrico Cantarelli and Umberto Tombari.

LCP - The consultancy has announced the promotion to partner of six of its actuarial and investment consulting teams, and promotion to principal of one of its risk benefits consulting team. The new partners include Susan Brierley, Heather Brown, Simon Coomber, Lee Dodds, Ken Hardman and Euan Reid. Carlos Correia joined LCP in 2000 and is head of the risk benefit consulting team.

Gatemore Capital Management - Cass Business School professor Andrew Clare has been hired as a senior adviser. He is an associate dean and professor of asset management. He also serves on the investment committee of the Marconi pension scheme and as a trustee and chair of the investment committee of the Magnox pension plan.

Kames Capital - Greg Cooper has been appointed chief administrative officer, succeeding Philip Smith. Smith, who has held the role on an interim basis, will now focus on his duties as global CFO at Aegon Asset Management. Cooper joins from First State Investments, where he was chief financial officer. Meanwhile, Claire McGuckin joins as an investment manager covering high-yield credits from Legal & General Investment Management, where she was a fund manager and formerly an analyst.

FNZ - Paul McMahon is to join as chief executive of the transaction and custody service provider's UK business. He moves from Aegon, where he held the role of group marketing director. Before then, he led the development and launch of the AXA Elevate platform.

Alliance Trust Investments - Juan Valenzuela has been appointed as a portfolio manager. He joins from SWIP, where he was part of the team for six years, most recently fulfilling the role of investment director for the Absolute Return Bond fund.
