F&C Asset ManagementRichard Wilson has been appointed chief executive following an "extensive search process". Subject to approval by the FSA, he is set to start in his new role on 1 January 2013. Before joining the company, he was head of international equities at Gartmore and managing director of global equities at Deutsche Asset Management. He started his fund management career at HSBC as a fund manager.

Vanguard Asset Management – The company has made two senior hires as it seeks to grow its European institutional business. Carole Costello joins as head of consultant relationships, while Kerry Drew joins as consultant relations director. Costello was previously consultant relations manager at Aviva Investors. Drew joins from Legal & General Investment Management, where she held a similar position.

Neuberger BermanRobert Ryan has been appointed managing director of Official Institutions. Based in London, Ryan will focus on central banks and sovereign wealth funds. He joins from Morgan Stanley Investment Management, where he held various roles including head of EMEA distribution and head of central banks and sovereign wealth funds.
 
Royal London – The UK-based mutual life and pensions company has appointed Kerr Luscombe as group finance and strategy director. He joined Royal London in 2011 from Scottish Widows, where he served as finance director. Before then, he held a similar position at Clerical Medical. Stephen Shone is to step down as finance director at year-end.

Insparo Asset ManagementGlenda Levin has been appointed head of marketing, responsible for expanding the investor base in the UK and Europe and leading a dedicated marketing drive targeting new international investors, particularly in the US. She joins from Pioneer Alternative Investments, where she spent eight years, most latterly as head of equity strategy for funds of funds.

European Actuarial Association – The association is recruiting a new chief executive to replace the current head, Michael Lucas, after he retires next year. Applications should be submitted by 21 December.

ABN AMRO ClearingRobert Booij has been appointed managing director of the company's UK operations. He was previously global head of enterprise risk management at ABN AMRO Clearing in the Netherlands.

Aon HewittAndrew Woolnough has joined the flexible benefits team as client development director. He joins from Enrich Reward, where he was also head of flexible benefits. Before then, he worked at 4th Contact and Jelf Group.
