GERMANY - Oliver Roll, recruited by Threadneedle Investments last year from German investment consultant FERI to head its German institutional business, has resigned.

Roll was previously one of FERI's most senior consultants, but he will quit his current job next month after serving 15 months in the role to "pursue other assignments".

Roll declined to comment on these other opportunities, telling IPE it is still too early for an announcement.

But commenting on the news, Christian Pellis, the firm's head of European distribution, said in a statement today: "Roll's personal decision does not influence our engagement in the institutional space."

Pellis added the firm wants to further expand its institutional business, and will decide on Roll's successor in the coming weeks.
